I have been successfully pleading fee petitions in state and federal courts for over 30 years. I can help with the rewriting of billings to maximize fee recoveries. I also review billings to remove clumping, unnecessary charges, impermissible charges, and other matters which will draw objections from opposing counsel and cause your petition to have less favor in the court’s eyes.
Depending on your jurisdiction, I can do a Risk Of Loss analysis for your specific case, which includes determining your hourly rate in the contingent fee market (i.e., where you, as plaintiff’s attorney, have assumed some or all of the risk of loss). This market is different than the by-the-hour, cash-paying market in which you are paid regardless of whether you win or lose.
You are entitled to a higher hourly rate in the contingent fee market.
Also, I gather data on hourly rates in other parts of the country (I already have much data in the Chicago area) to help maximize hourly rates regardless of your location.
I am, of course, available “for a price,” a retainer, but also may be able to work on a fee-shifting basis, seeking payment for my time from your client’s adversary so that there is no direct charge to you or your client.
